The jewelry designs separate themselves into two categories. The first is work done completely in the so called "precious" metals, primarily 18K golds, platinum and sterling silver and various other alloys and colors of gold, which may or may not be set with gemstones or pearls. The second is work done in a much broader variety of metals and alloys including all the "precious" metals plus the addition of a group of copper based alloys used in traditional Japanese metalwork and frequently patinated with various processes to extend the range of colors available in the compositions.
While he has done all types of jewelry including rings, earrings, necklaces, hairpieces, cufflinks and buckles, his main focus has been on brooches and bracelets as they offer the most freedom for producing the types of sculptural pieces he is interested in.
